An ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB) signal propagation experiment is performed in a typical modern office building in order to characterize the UWB signal propagation channel. The bandwidth of the signal used in this experiment is in excess of one GHz. Robustness of the UWB signal to fades is quantified through histograms and cumulative distributions of the signal quality in various locations of the building. The results show that UWB signal does not suffer fades.
